What is Online Giving?

Online Giving is a simple yet powerful way to give to the parish and to completely manage your contributions via the internet.

Is Online Giving safe? Is my personal information protected?

Your personal information is entered directly into a secure Online Giving site, which uses the most current encryption methods to help safeguard your privacy (128-bit secure browser with SSL). Your account is password protected, and the website has a time-out feature to automatically log you off. Your information is stored on a secured firewall protected server.

How do I create an Online Giving account?

Creating an Online Giving Account

  1. Go to the Saint John Vianney Parish Online Giving Website
  2. Click on the “Create New Account” tab.
  3. The New Use Account Registration window is displayed:
  4. Complete the fields on the form (field descriptions below).

New User Account Registration Fields

Description

User ID*

Required. Case Sensitive. Your User ID must contain both alphabetic and numeric characters and be between 6-12 characters in length.

Password*

Required. Case Sensitive. For security reasons, your password must include at least one of each of the following characters: alphabetic, numeric, and keyboard characters such as the ampersand, exclamation point, or asterisk.

Confirm Password*

Required. Case Sensitive. Enter your Password exactly as you did in the Password field.

Registration Code

Ignore. For Administrative use only.

First Name*/Last Name*

Required.

Email Address*

Enter your complete email address. The Online Giving system restricts users to one account per email address. Multiple accounts with the same email address are not permitted.

Confirm Email Address

Required. Enter email exactly as you did in email field.

Phone

Recommended but not required.

Address 1*

Required.

City/State* and Zip*

Required.

5. When done, enter the validation code in the box shown and click “Submit” button.

The parish office will validate your request and send you an email. To complete the process, you will need to follow the instructions in the email to log in to the parish’s Online Giving website and provide your account information to the secure Online Giving site.

My child attends SJV School. How does our family receive credit for attending Mass?

Online Giving links directly with the parish Donation tracking software, making it easy for the school to verify support of the parish.

Why use Online Giving?

It is an easy, convenient, safe & secure method for managing your contributions. You can easily adjust the amount and/or timing of your contribution from any place at any time via the internet. No more checks to write.

How does Online Giving work?

Contributions are electronically transferred from your bank account or credit card into the funds that you choose and when you choose.

How does SJV benefit from my using Online Giving?

Online Giving is self-service with you managing your contributions. It is more cost effective as fewer parish staff resources will be needed; allowing more time for parish ministries and stewardship activities. It also provides a more predictable income flow allowing the parish to better manage their finances.

What if I don't want to use Online Giving, but I would still like to make my donation electronically?

A parish staff member can explain other options available to you through your bank or place of work.

What is the SJV Online Giving website address?
Do I have to convert to Online Giving?

No, you can continue to make your contributions to the parish in your traditional method.
